Last night (Wednesday 8/23), CNN was showing their Bin Laden special at 9 PM ET. That is the normal time slot for "Larry King Live". One would think that they would just not air it for the night. But NO, they had to air it, even if it airs one hour earlier than usual.
The last several times CNN had to preempt Larry King from his timeslot (usually due to presidential speeches), Larry King Live would always air for the full hour immediately following whatever was preempting it.
And Larry King is on weekends at 9 PM too. When CNN wants to air a two-hour long "CNN Presents" (which last night's special was), they schedule it AROUND Larry King.
I know that Larry King is CNN's highest rated show (and about the only one that beats Fox News Channel in it's timeslot), but not showing Larry King for just one single night is not going to kill them.
