Can't get enough of John & Kerri?

Rumor has it that John & Kerri is going to be double timing it soon. In addition to their morning show, they are also going to be voicetracking 7-10PM.

Times must be tough for Steel City!

They already started voicetracking. I heard them last Friday evening.

it's hard to believe that one. can things really be that bad at the new Q92? you mean they can't afford to hire a voicetracker partime? how degrading to the talent to be used like that. i'm sorry but somebody has to draw a line in the sand. they probably will portray it as a strategic move...innovative and resourceful...wow, that's a sad, sad story. are you sure the frischlings (owners) don't own the pirates? WEST COASTING CALIFORNIA

I think it's rather inovative! Prime talent during an extended PM Pittsburgh drive home, you know. And - a good Delilah answer.

i knew it!!!!! someone would confuse cheapness with innovation...you got to be kidding me right? were you trying to be sarcastic? THERE IS NO POSITIVE SPIN TO THIS ONE. you must be a mouthpiece for them. come on, tell me you were kidding!!!!!!! who is this, shecky green?

Steel City also thought that when they lost Quinn from 97Rock to 104.7 a few years back, that putting Bob & Tom on was "brilliant" (someone actually wrote that on this board) because it took the Bob & Tom canned bits away from the DVE morning show, and that it would show just how played and tired Jim & Randy were. The DVE morning show is still there, and 96.9 is now BOB-FM. So much for brilliant.

At least they aren't making John & Kerri do both shifts live.

let's give them credit where they deserve it. they did do the BOB thing. and that has been a success. especially since all that exist are liner jocks or just pre recorded junk. geee, another way of saving money.
the sad thing is, they are not the only ones doing it. welcome to the new radio...hmmmm podcast?

I'd think you'd run the risk of overexposure. But certainly an improvement over those computer voices they've been using. At least it gives some local flavor.

No risk of over exposure. Night time numbers for radio listening drop dramatically after 7 PM, and those who do listen fluctuate wildly from book to book.

Innovative? Not that either. Probably a combination of being frugal and trying to get some additional exposure for the AM show. No offense, but it's not a blockbuster program in the morning, what will they accomplish at night?

You would think if they truly wanted to expose John and Kerri to the audience after AM drive, they'd send them out into the community and/or workplaces every day to meet and greet. It's frankly a better use of their time. Then again, those things cost money. So we're back to the same conclusion drawn by some other posters.

what a terrible waste of a frequency...does bob nutting own q92?
