Can't Pick up 103.1 KCDX anymore

Anyone know what happened to KCDX 103.1? I am in the East Valley and for the past few days I get nothing at 103.1 . They were never great in signal, but could also pull them in. Any help? ???
 
I noticed the same thing. Suppose they're making good on their CP to move their transmitter closer to Tucson? That's my guess anyway... They ARE still streaming on the internet though...
 
Yeah am listening online, and I hope they are moving, because it should also improve the signal to the Phoenix area actually also. The move means they are increasing power from 2.7 KW to 95Kw, even tho their stick wont be as high.
 
I hope you're right about the change in signal, but I'm not holding my breath. If the Radio Locator map is any indication, I can only refer to what Yogi Berra once said:

"In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is."
 
Anxious to see how KCDX does on the PPM. Many will be surprised, I predict.

Well, I heard 'em on the way to my Cactus League ballgame late this morning, and then tried to listen this afternoon after the game.... POOF! They weren't there! Must have some bugs to work out yet.

I WILL say, listening with a non-critical ear, they seemed to be the same signal strength as before... I'll listen closer the next time I hear them...whenever that might be... (Sincere wishes for good luck to the engineer folk!)
 
Hmmm...sounds like the "Yogi" factor may *not* apply then!

However, the acid test is: Can you hear 'em on a Walkman? I could barely pick them up before at the old site from my home in East Mesa.

I've never listened to KCDX before. After reading this, I tried to tune it in my car (1 March 6:00 pm). I live near Loop 101 & Peoria Ave. Couldn't pick it up in my driveway, which faces east/west (probably blocked by my garage). Drove around the immediate area and got it with a lot of static. Got better reception in Fry's parking lot on 91st Ave & Olive. In my house have a digital stereo tuner with an indoor antenna and didn't hear anything at 103.10 (or 103.05 or 103.15).

IMHO, it is really great if you'd like to hear some lost tracks from the 50s-90s. Those cats play everything from Frank Zappa to Nick Lowe, to Linda Ronstadt to Def Leppard.
Deep tracks, no commercials, a decent amount of genre variety, and no jocks. It's like a better Satellite radio Classic Rock station, AND no annoying fee! ;)
I live in downtown Scotts. & get it in pretty good most of the time. I think the static is worth hearing all those eclectic songs!
Desert West Air Ranchers, if you read this...KUDOS on a great station that I listen to in the car & online constantly!
Keep it goin'...really dig it!
