cape104fm.com's design looks similar to at least a couple of other Cape stations' websites.
In finally getting to hear the station (on streaming), this is a top 40 by my definition, not a hot AC - rap is in the mix. It seems to be one of these stations that you have to check the website for an artist (if you don't already know it) since the brief DJ breaks are just that, brief.

I think they play about as much rap as Mix 98.5. They certainly play a lot of 90s Goo Goo Dolls type music that a CHR would never play these days. What's strange is that their website looks a lot like those made for Nassau stations, and no much like WQRC or WOCN's.

Last I listened, the station was subpar. The music was very bland, the imaging was boring, the jingles old, and the jocks absolutely forgettable.
Unless they've hit their stride and done some major tweaking, why would anyone stream this station?

Keep in mind that the station is Hot AC.  Like Jeff said, it's similar to Mix 98.5.  It's also the same format that 50kW WCOD has.  They play Hot AC from the '90s & '00s mainly.  In all the times I tuned in, I have only heard 2 '80s songs ever.  Since I listen to XM a lot, they sound similar to XM Flight 26 format wise.  In reference to diamonddj's comment however, the jingles are NOT old.  They are from a package of BRAND NEW jingles by Jones TM (Studio Dragonfly division) created in 2007.  See here for the jingle package demo:

Who else on the Cape is playing "Low" by Flo-Rida? That's all I meant by it sounds more like hit radio than hot AC. Mix 98.5 wouldn't play that song and I don't think 106COD is either. Also, I didn't think I mentioned anything about their imaging/ids. I just mentioned how brief the jock breaks are.

Sorry about that.  I meant to say: in reference to Bigtime Bowler's comment.

The stations sounds decent, Its only service is to pull down WRZE a share. If they hired a PD to focus on building the station up, and still play CHR but focus on taking a bite out of WCOD at the same time..it could do well.

Kinda like WAYV in Atlantic City, WSTR in Atlanta, WWSR in Lima, WKRQ in Cincinnati (Adult CHR).
