cape stations strong tonight near boston

im in Lexington and Im getting WOMR 91.3 and 92.1 in the car right now!! WFCC isnt rare but this is my first time getting WOMR.

There seemed to be a warm front draped over Southeastern Massachusetts last night (October 11th).

In such occasions, Cape Cod FM stations whose signals normally don't penetrate as far north as Boston as they do at these times.

This can occur during Fall and Spring, but I have found (I live in Norwood, about 14 miles southwest of Boston) that the best times for FM reception of Cape stations comes during the Summer.

From my town of Tyngsborough on the Mass/NH state line, I've been getting some unusual catches lately on my iPod's FM receiver. While the major Rhode Island and Cape Cod stations came in strong all summer, in the past few days I've been getting decent traces of Connecticut and Western Mass stations. This morning, while listening to 965 The Mill, there was strong interference from Hartford's 965 TIC (I even briefly got song display!) I also got WRCH, KC 101(!!), Rock 102 (with info display), 947 WMAS and what I believe was Mix 931 Springfield but it could've been that Hot AC from Southern Maine. I've also heard WBLM of Maine overpowering that obnoxious Spanish translator in the past few weeks, and was able to receive Maine stations from my work in Winchester Mass.

So in conclusion, the conditions have been quite amusing lately. However, it still won't beat two summers ago when I was getting Florida and Georgia stations in Tyngsborough Mass on my iPod's Fm reviever

coming in well on North Shore, 101.5 from the Cape, Frank 107.5 from Portland area, and WPKQ 103.7 N Conway NH though the religious LPFM from Saugus or was it Boston (CP) came in well in Lynn (WPKQ very loud in Swampscott though)
