Capital 106.3

It looks like CC took the blueprint of "Cities 97" in Minneapolis, and slapped a new name on it ("quality mix from then and now", "freedom rock", "studio c", "artists who stood the test of time, and new artists who stand a chance"). If that's the case, the station will sound bland.

Des Moines really does need a good AAA station.Whether or not CC can deliver that on 106.3 remains to be seen. I was actually hoping they'd turn 106.3 into a simulcast of KCCQ.

How decent is the signal of this station in the market? How many formats have they had?many thanks....Gary

Does the signal, type of format or station even matter? Its hard enough to remember what the names are, never mind what they play or if you can hear it.

CC strikes again. Once they know we like something they screw it up. In my honest opinion, since the Bus moved to 100.3 it's probably going to do horribly. Its the curse of the frequency. Everything that touches it fails within 2 years...including the dj's.

The only thing CC is good at is the same thing Larry Smithson is good at; taking crap and making it into crap over and over again. (And of course with each renovation comes a new name.)

Are you talking about 100.3 or 106.3 doing horribly? 100.3 was Hot AC for many years, just with a name change a little while back.

100.3. I know first hand that for the past 10 years that everything on it has been struggling. The ratings are nothing to be proud of.

I'd be surprised to see the Bus do really well on 100.3.

Whoever wrote this was right on. Who likes the band Creed anymore? That band is in their top 60 rotation as it is at Cities 97 according to yes.com. Creed, Three Doors Down, Nickelback etc. is not "alternative" it is as mainstream as mainstream goes, overly mainstream, makes me wanna puke mainstream.
