Capitol buys WDNC/WCLY; Curtis gets NCNN/WRBZ

Thanks Chris,

I listen to a couple of shows on WZTK, (Alan Colmes and John & Jeff). I thought they were more of a Talk Station.

Ya, your're right. When I hear Talk my brain always says News Talk. Not really the same anymore. I stand corrected.

The new 850am...

What will Curtis do w/ a new format/music/political talk?

Oh by the way... has anyone heard from former 850 host, Chris Clark?

Tomorrow's the big day! :)

Okay, Imus is back on 850, where he was before that snafu two years ago involving the Rutgers women's basketball team. Any word on what the new format is other than that?

Still a simulcast of 99.9 after Imus. No word from the FCC on the transfer of license. Until then, no word as to what will happen. Not sure when you heard bluegrassy - country-sounding music, but ESPN Radio was on all weekend, with the exception of play by play and the computer show.

It wasn't a whole song of the bluegrassy- country-sounding music, it was just the music beds for a couple of promos for "what's coming up" and I think they mentioned that Imus would be on starting Dec. 1 [today], too. Sounded almost too much like a John Boy & Billy promo, though.

It's not going to happen until Jan. 1st. Rosanne Cash was on Imus this morning. That's the country/bluegrass thing you probably heard this morning.

Nah it was some promos Saturday afternoon.

Maybe it was just an Imus promo, though, since he does seem to play a lot of country- twangy kind of music the last several years on his show. Maybe it was one of his beds so he can play the Lonesome Cowboy character.
