Captain Showbiz Ted Atkins passed away

Ted lost his battle with cancer this morning. I'm so glad I finally got to meet him this past December at his annual Christmas party. In the heyday of 1250 WTAE and 96 KX/WHTX, there were no better two radio stations in Pittsburgh.

Ted was the finest general manager I ever worked for. He was all the good things a 'talent' could ever want in a boss. It was a pleasure and honor to know Captain Showbiz. My condolences and prayers are with his wife and family. RIP Ted.
