Car Stereo (aftermarket)

Any thoughts on favorite car stereos? Looking for best tuner (AM as well as FM). That, and sound quality, are more important than other features (or brand name)....

Thanks!

I just put the Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD with both the HD & XM tuners in my car. So far I am pretty satisfied with the unit.

There are some small things I think should be improved upon in the unit but nothing that I consider a big deal.

It's nice popping in a DVD with 400 songs and letting it shuffled for days. Same thing for a USB thumbdrive.

There are definitely tuners with better specs out there. I just tried to marry features and performance and get the best of each for my money.

The radio it replaced was a Blaupunkt Los Angeles MP74 which could really hear well. It suffered from some distortion on extremely weak signals though. (maybe due to how narrow the bandwith in the tuner would go in order to listen to the weak signal)
