Cardinals TV Play-by-Play

I've got to mute this and turn on Wolf and Pasch. Mike Goldberg must be a stroke survivor, or something. "Briannnn SAINT Pierre-UH". Dude, you're not a ring announcer (for the Cards, anyway), you're there to call the action. You're at about a 10 and we need you at a 6, capiche?

Goldberg has got to go! This is the NFL, not the WWE. Bill Lewis is dull but knowledgeable - not really a TV guy. I didn't think it was possible, but they're worse than the Diamondbacks' clown act.

Fortunately for Cardinal fans all over Arizona, this train-wreck of a broadcast team calls its last game tomorrow.

OTOH, it's Ron Wolfley I want to mute. Fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh no! You've got to love Wolf. Like this gem: "Anquan Boldin is a goat-rider!"

That statement, standing alone, makes you wonder what the Hell Wolf must be smoking.

Then he goes on to explain himself: When the men are riding out to fight, the village runs out of horses. Anquan's got so much heart, he says, "Gimme a damned goat, I don't care! It's on! Let's ride!"

That's beautiful, man.

I got to work with Wolf when he first got into broadcasting. He's a good guy, and he knows football. I like that he's in the booth. You want a mute-worthy team? Try listening to Sam Huff and Sonny J. I love the team and I respect their past contributions, but on the radio these days, they're terrible.

You know, any village going out to fight when they don't have enough horses is being run by the village idiot. OK - so Wolf has uncanny insight into the Cardinals front office - I'll grant you that - but it's his voice I have a problem with. :-D

Then again, I don't like In-and-Out Burger either, so there you go. I'm the contrarian in the crowd.
