CARL HAMPTON

jj is right; Joe Daniels has mentioned him being on vacation. Joe also explained at one point – for whatever reason – that his first name is actually spelled Karl.

I believe Karl is one of the best announcers that DG has in their lineup. He has a very relaxing, pleasant voice, and he sounds like he really knows the music. I always enjoy listening to him during the afternoon....And his fill-in this week Joe Daniels sounds quite good also.

I realize these guys don't pick their own music, but the mix Bill Jones played yesterday was really great.
