When Carl was at WSIX (after the move to the 55 building) I recall
seeing the production director sitting on the floor outside the studio
while Carl was on the air. This was way back...when the spots were still
on cart and had to be updated daily. The prod guy was not allowed to
enter the studio until Carl left. Jeez...this wasn't a social visit.
The guy had a job to do, but no one was to disturb the magic of Carl.
Took a lot of concentration to do Bubba (again)...or that hilarious
P-nuts auto parts bit for the 500th time always killed.
I Carl took a bathroom break (I refuse to say the obvious), then the
carts would be changed: if not, he had to wait until 7pm when the
'show' was over. A real shame...no questioning the guy's talent.
Just got fat lazy and arrogant. OK...not fat.<P ID="signature">______________
