Peralta has been a voice on Tampa Bay Spanish radio for nearly 35 years. He was the first voice heard when Tampa Bay's first Spanish language FM came on-air in 2005.
He was sacked by CBS Radio this week. The St. Petersburg Times noted the move in this morning's edition.
"The firing was unexpected, but Peralta wishes his colleagues the best, saying station managers were professional about it. Peralta said he and the station had different expectations...On Friday, Peralta's attorney, Jose Toledo, reached an agreement between Peralta and the station. Peralta couldn't discuss the agreement."
The Times mentioned that he is exploring options which still involve radio.
