Carlota back in Fresno?

Word on the street is that Carlota is doing a Fresno Mid-day show on the Blaze in addition to her show in Vegas.

Is she really pulling double duty?

Some say her leaving Xtreme radio put that station in the ground. She has been kicking their ass ever since she left. It sounds like you are a true listener like myself and that so rocks, yes Carla use to work hear with KRZR Following the Front Row Morning Show that included Jennifer Lipp in mornings, Jen just got a job with the Blaze 105.1 (No Streaming audio yet) called the Roddam and Lipp morning show and Carla is on after them, yes Fresno will respond just fine IMO

But dont get me wrong , there are alot of people on this board that have alot of negative things to say about anybody, but I dont think they are the listening audience like us, we get to vote if abitron chooses us, not them. (they are not supposed to anyway)

I'm a big radio geek in Vegas. Carlota has been a mainstay here for many years. She used to be at Xtreme radio, but word on the street is she got the shaft from them. However, joke was on them because she went across the street to KOMP and promptly kicked their butt, and still is. From what I understand, she did the same thing in fresno, worked at new rock (?), got fired and then went to KRZR and whooped em. True?

I've met her a few times. She's very cool, very real. Not the stuck up radio person you would expect considering all her sucess. She was voted best jock for 6-7 years in a row, yet you wouldnt know it by the way she treats you.

How is she sounding on the Blaze?

You…uh, I mean Carla sounds pretty rough. Not because you aren’t one of the all-time best jocks to grace Fresno’s airwaves, but because the Blaze’s processing sucks. Everyone on the station sounds like they’re communicating via cans-on-a-string. Additionally, because the boards/automation system wasn’t set up properly all voicetracks over music are almost completely unintelligible (that includes the local stuff).

Let me put it this way: KTIP is better equipped than the Blaze any day of the week, much less every other rock station in town.

Like I said in a previous post, this baby was still-born. The station had tremendous potential, but the ball was dropped. They’re playing all the wrong angles against the Fox instead of consolidating their position and burying our Alma Mater: The Wild Hare!

The Carlota I knew could have buried Hammer, Kane, and Skippy in a week. The set up now in play simply won’t allow for the dominance that could have been.

I’d like to see Lotus Corp. back off and let Andy either do his own thing or hire E. as his consultant. I’d also like to see the Blaze treated with the respect it deserves engineering-wise. But no body ever listens to me…

I'm not Carlota, or Carla?. For one, I'm a guy. But I hear we have the same taste in women, so maybe thats where you are getting confused. And maybe if you had a different approach, you'd get people to listen to you. Just a suggestion.

I’m not sure what part was angry…my disappointment at the Lotus Corporate decision to undervalue a strong staff? Or my observation that the lack of basic engineering has compounded the problem by making a potentially great station sound like it’s coming from a college campus? Perhaps my suggestion that some relatively minor changes would bring more success?

Oh, wait…I see. I’m angry because I name-dropped KTIP, right?

I now have no doubt you’re not Carlota: she’d come off with more class and a better understanding of my feedback. I probably owe her an apology for thinking she would waste so much time hyping herself.
