Carly Rush finally back on the radio!

Is Carly Rush on KVOO now? She sounds good on country. Great name recognition in the market and people seem to like her. The old Kay107 audience grew up and probably listen to country now.

She's been doing traffic on KVOO's morning show for awhile, and she's been an "official" part of "The VOO Crew" for a few weeks. I don't think that show needs a third person necessarily, and Carly doesn't seem to fit in very well to me, but you're right...good to have her back on the air.

Is there anybody who fits in anywhere? Every time someone new comes in to a local show, all you do is grouse about how they don't fit.

Good on you, Carly Rush! Have I ever told you you're my second-favorite radio personality?

And all you do is grouse about how I grouse. Jeez.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've groused about your grousing, but the fact is, if you weren't grousing, than I wouldn't be grousing about your grousing, would I?

PS: Carly Rush is an AMAZING air talent. I've worked as an air talent and a program director in numerous major markets, and rank her poise, warmth, and relatability among the best. There's a reason she was able to flip me off and tell me to go f**k myself and sic her viscous dog on me numerous times, and still keep her job, and it ain't because her daddy owned the radio station.

I don't think you'd know a good air talent if she punched you in the face, and let me tell you, when Carly Rush punches you in the face, it HURTS!

I agree Sean. You definately came from the 'old school' of programming. Good talent is good talent, regardless of how you feel about them personally on any given day. Putting personal issues that creep up aside is how you WIN ratings. Enabling great talent to do great things is how rating wars are won.

Carly is extremely good at what she does. She's also enough of a professional to be on country and sound like she likes it. Honestly I don't know if she does, but it doesn't matter. She will do well if she was asked to play polka music...

I guarantee you, by the time she did her first airshift, Carly was driving a dilapidated F150 with a bed full of old Budweiser cans and McDonald's wrappers, a gun rack in the cab with several unregistered assault rifles loosely banging around in it, a stick figure pissing on a Chevy truck in the back window, and an Obama = Osama bumpersticker on the back bumper.

Chief, I never said she wasn't good. I like Carly. I think she's great and needs to be on the air. My damn point was she doesn't seem to fit into THAT particular morning show well. That has nothing to do with her talent.

Cowboy, I ain't no chief, and your damn point is EVERYONE doesn't fit. Every time someone new joins a show, all you ever do is grouse about how they don't fit.

Also, many people in this world have a sense of humor. You might want to look into that.
