Wondering if the "old guard," the guys who have been format insiders since the WAVE in '87 really have that much to offer in terms of defining the future, or if continued focus on this small group may be one of the things that is holding back progress. It's hard to get out of that comfortable box and even these pleas to move forward seem to be shaded by old-school theory and thinking process. One one hand there are great learning opportunities in hearing from those who have been there and now see the times that the wrong path was taken. On the other hand sometimes a complete reinvention is necessary and that cannot be done by those who were insiders in the previous regime.
