print media and television have always been that way toward radio. raise a million dollars toward cancer research, feed a thousand needy families, collect toys for christmas etc....you are referred to as a local radio station. have someone notable at a radio station run afoul of the law or be charged with something they plaster your name and call letters all over. Not one mention in The Sun News. Of course, they would have had to acknowledge that this station even existed, which they haven't done. There was a brief article about a building fire which may have been this one, but nothing about who was affected.
More than twenty years ago The Sun News had great coverage of radio and TV. Then the man left and there was some coverage, but not quite as much. The last person to do anything close to a good job with covering radio left four years ago.
It depended on the market. Indianapolis had good local coverage of radio, and so did some other markets. Bob Batz in Dayton sort of did when he wasn't whining about WHIO-FM (the original one, not the current one)'s flip away from Beautiful Music and "why isn't there an eclectic station"?print media and television have always been that way toward radio. raise a million dollars toward cancer research, feed a thousand needy families, collect toys for christmas etc....you are referred to as a local radio station. have someone notable at a radio station run afoul of the law or be charged with something they plaster your name and call letters all over.

And you can't even read most of what he wrote because so much of it was in the TV Book which wasn't microfilmed. Most of the articles from 1996 through 1998 were on NewsBank but then someone decided he was a free-lance reporter and the rules said those articles had to be deleted, except not all of them were. I don't think any of them needed to be because he worked for the newspaper. But once the articles were gone no one had them where they could be restored to NewsBank.Toby Eddings was a good media reporter for the Sun News back in the day
