Carsey-Werner remastering classic sitcoms for syndication in HD

MultiChannel News reports Carsey-Werner productions is remastering six of it's classic sitcoms into High Definition and release back into syndication.

Affected shows: That 70's Show, Roseanne, The Cosby Show, A Different World, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Grounded for Life.

I didn't even know Grounded for Life was in syndication, though I vaguely recall it airing on Fox (Wikipedia says it aired for 5 season, 2 + a 2 ep 3rd season on Fox, rest of 3rd + 2 more on WB). I don't think I've seen it pop up on any station in my cable line-up.

Grounded for Life reruns aired mostly on ABC Family (I believe it still may have the rights), but never in local syndication.

What are they going to do for "Cosby," "A Different World," and "Roseanne?" Use the controversial "Stretch-O-Vision" technique (all three shows were videotaped in 4:3 NTSC)? The other shows, if I recall correctly, were filmed or used "film look."

How many channels are already airing "Cosby," "A Different World," and "Roseanne" or any other videotaped 4:3 sitcom in Stretch-O-Vision besides Turner?
