Carson Daily Does anyone listen?

Just a thought does anyone listen to his show. It sounds VT to me and kinda boring. But its a more music focus

Anyone care to give their opinion?

I generally listen to my iPod in the morning, but if I do listen to radio, I listen to Carson Daly more than anyone else.

I enjoy that he doesn't ramble on and on, and I actually get music in the morning. Plus, when Seacrest spends the better part of 40% of his time talking about American Idol during its season, and I don't watch, its an immediate turn off. He spends the other 60% talking about the Kardashians. I like the Kardashians but I don't want to hear an endless love fest about them every other morning.

I think he has a good repoire with his sidekick, Producer Angie, and I think the show its an appropriate fit for the station. KIIS DJs tend to talk non-stop, while Amp seems to reign in their DJs and focus on the music.

Plus, Carson's segments tend to be a little more adult in focus than Ryan Seacrest's, and perhaps a little more male oriented.

Don't get me wrong- I think Ryan Seacrest is talented, I just prefer Carson Daly's approach better.

I agree I dont listen to Seacrast in the morning on KIIS I just cant relate to the show. At least Carson focus on music which is fine but I guess since its a Top 40 station I would figure it would be exciting. But then again I keep forgetting Carson has always sounded the same since his TRL days. Normally I do listen to my ipod and if I get bored with it ill listen to KBLX or KYLD.

I dont even watch Last Call either on NBC. But I guess the teens love him well the girls from the early days of TRL when the boy bands were taking over. One thing about the 90's and early 2000's I dont miss

I never really listen to Carson Daily. Heck I don't even listen to AMP to begin with. I listen to my iPhone when I want to listen some real music not the same electro pop tracks over & over. YIKES

More to the point, does ANYBODY watch Last Call?

Last Call's actually a pretty cool show, the documentary style interview/music performance format is really good. I would watch it more frequently if it weren't on so late.

NBC use to air music videos on Friday nights back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I forgot the name of the show that use to air Mon thru Thurs at 1:30am

Who the hell is Carson Daily?? :p

Are joking LOL :D Carson Daily was the host of TRL. He does the morning drive on AMP Radio.

BTW As a young teen I hate their musical selection too and it gets annoying with they refer to themselves as "The New AMP Radio". SMH.

You're likely talking about "Later," first hosted by Bob Costas, later by Greg Kinnear and a variety of hosts.

I listen now and then, it's not that bad. I'm just happy he doesn't talk about those Kardashian nobodies.

I tend to check him out via online streaming from time to time (albeit he's on at 9 am on the east). His music-intensive program is something morningradio really needs; less talking abou the Kardashians and more music in the mornings.

I'd pick him over Ryan Seacrest any day of the week

.......funny, i referenced "carson"/ TRL
(on the dance forum) as the current status of crap-40,radio..
-
someone pointed out to me, ummm. . . .he has been gone

Carson Daly's been gone from TRL since 9 years ago. In fact, TRL's been gone since 2008! Where have you been? ;)

MTV hasn't been the same since TRL went off the air. MTV stands for Morron Television not Music Televison. MTV had a stroke and is now life support.…Sorry to get off topic.
