When has it worked? Besides the Tejano surge in the 90's, there has been little Bilingual stations implemented since then. I can think of a couple of Hip-Hop stations that use Bi-lingual, but it is only because they target the Hispanic Community and they only did it on certain occasions (One example is KNDA in Corpus, I remember back a couple of years ago they had DJs talk spanish every now and then, but I don't know about today).

it was sunday mornings on casa. but im sure thats gone too. if you like tejano, tune to knon sat from 11 to 1.

That's one mix show, not the tejano and old school of KXTN most of the day.

Latino Mix is the former name of a NY radio station. It's not a format name recognizable to anyone in the business.

(These are the moments when I think it would feel better to hit my head against the wall...)

Latino Mix is not a format. What Frank (AKA Big Boyee) does at San Antonio is just a show. He could have named it "Pachuco Mix" or something like that, but it is still not the name of a format. All it is is a Reggeaton/Cumbia segment. I haven't heard any Regional Mexican played on his show, Just Reggeaton (Daddy Yankee, DJ Kane, Ivy Queen) and Cumbia (Celso Pina, Varonil). No Norteno, Banda, or any other type of Regional Mexican.

FYI, that show IS NOT TEJANO or anywhere close to Tejano. Just in case you probably get confused. If you were to listen during the day, then you'll know what Tejano is.

Yeah you're right, I guess stupid people just piss me off and I have to set them straight. Just as a reminder, I'm adding that to my profile.

Oh well, this old guy is going back to playing with his PS3, ya, I know, aren't I a little old for Video Games? hell na, I like those NCAAF games, oh and that Grand theft auto is a killer sandbox game! But back to radio. any guess as to when LBI dumps Casa completely? (Funny, I just remembered, this is officially their second try at Rhythmic in the Big D, First Party 93.7, and then Casa 106.7)

So what is the difference between CASA 106.7 and XO? In other words whats the difference between rythmic and SPANISH POP And Rock?

oops, shoulda explained myself a bit better. I was talking about what they did before this Latin Rhythmic crap. At the end, I just don't see LBI operating anything other than Spanish Contemporary or Regional Mexican. I want to say, hello La Ranchera 106.7? Can anyone tell me the status of KZMP-AM? Are they simulcasting the Oriental format from KZMP-FM or are they running La Ranchera? We may soon see another Brokered station in Dallas soon.
