Cascada gets love from Philly's Q102

"Everytime We Touch" got 45 spins in the past week according to radioandrecords.com. Props to her getting on where Madonna's "Hung Up" and the dance version of D.H.T.'s "Listen To Your Heart" failed to go, that is major exposure on a hip-hop obsessed CHR/Pop station in Philadelphia. First dance track to get that since the Roc Project's "Never" two and a half years ago. Put on your ice skates, since hell has frozen over! :)

the best thing about this track has always been and continues to be that it is a success at mainstream without being a madonna track or a cover.
Edited by saladdressing on 01/16/06 05:20 AM.

Yes. (I really don't know but thought I'd answer that one.)

Yes. (I really don't know but thought I'd answer that one sarcastically.)

Oh, thank you, now I know I'm not the only one. I think this song is quite terrible and I plan on burning it in the fire. Wait, that would mean doing that to the computer as well....
______________

I don't like the song that much either...as for Cascada's singles, "Bad Boy" and "Miracle" are far better songs than "Everytime We Touch." Think, however, of what this song does for the genre of trance in general (even if this is really eurodance that's crossover pop-trance)...the song's general exposure means more exposure for the artists we really love, like Mynt, Crystal Waters, DJ Sammy, Lasgo and Ian Van Dahl. (I don't care for DHT...mainstream rock bands don't make their songs so that they can obviously have an alternate piano version...now do they? After all, a piano version of a rock band's rock song would make it...NOT a rock song...therefore the band loses the term 'rock band.' Get what I mean?)

If Cascada ends up with a top 10 single...Robbins really has it going on for them...

i don't care if pure dance heads don't like this track. if mainstream america likes it, it is far better for the state of the music/format than some track all the dance nerds love that will never reach the light of day in the mainstream.

if you can't embrace this track, then good riddance. it's not a madonna track, it's not a cover. go away if you can't get behind this track. as the previous post says, the song's general exposure is a GOOD THING for this music. what? you wanted another g-unit track instead? goodbye.

Very well said......

So what, people aren't allowed to say they don't like a song?

Because you dance to disco but you still like rock.

People are obviously allowed to say whatever they want, but i find it humorous that the moment an original song achieves great success at CHR/Pop, giving dance music great exposure all across mainstream America, there are people immediately badmouthing it. If they prefer dance to stay underground, then i understand but it makes no sense to tear down something you (i assume) want to be built up.

Um...actually "Everytime We Touch" is a cover of Maggie Rielly's "Everytime We Touch..." seeing how its the same song. Maggie Rielly co-wrote it. She was an Irish singer, and was very contemporary...this cover is completely different than the original.
