Cascade Radio Group hiring

I am trapped here in the house so I tuned in "KAFE" on the cable box... so far liking the way they're positioning their Christmas music. (12 days of Christmas?)

I think it's cool they're also giving away holiday cash, which y'know, ratings are done so there's no incentive that way. Way to go Saga/Cascade. Then again, do they really care about ratings? They own every format in Bellingham except country and contemporary Christian (JR FM/Praise gets that).

By the way, they're hiring account executives. I heard the recruitment ad although it's not posted at the KAFE Web site http://www.kafe.com/KAFE-Jobs/3462788 so you may need to contact the group to get the e-mail address for your resume.

Cascade/Saga owns every commercial station in Bellingham (790 KGMI, 930 KBAI, 1170 KPUG, 92.9 KISM and 104.3 KAFE.)

But they are a good group of people I heard. They've figured out Bellingham (no small feat for any corporate station owner/programmer) enough to know which side their bread is buttered . The only real diss I have against them is KISM. When it was AAA formatted Independent Rock in the '90s, that station was a phenomena. But the trouble with KISM today is the repetition of the same classic rock warhorses (you can only get excited about them for so long.)

But if there is one place in the Northwest that Steve Slaton and the rest of the old Seattle rock radio crew should not overlook, it's KISM.
