The only "buzz" that 101.5 has gotten in years, and its based on Carton.....go figure..
"A Federal judge in Trenton, New Jersey dismissed a lawsuit against Millennium Radio Group, LLC, and former WKXW-FM (101.5) afternoon drive co-host Craig Carton and current “Jersey Guys” co-host Ray Rossi. The New Jersey Law Journal reports the lawsuit, brought by photographer Peter Murphy, claimed that in 2006, the “Jersey Guys” “derogatorily inferred” he was a homosexual. In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Joel Pisano wrote, “it appears unlikely that the New Jersey Supreme Court would legitimize discrimination against gays and lesbians by concluding that referring to someone as homosexual ‘tends to so harm the reputation of that person as to lower him in the estimation of the community as to deter third persons from associating or dealing with him.” Ironically, Judge Pisano based his decision in-part on the case of “Gray v. Press Communications,” which involved former WKXW afternoon drive host Jeff Deminski, sued in 2001 by TV personality Sally Star Gray, whom he called a “lesbian cowgirl.” Carton had since left WKXW, and joined WFAN-AM (660) in New York City as morning drive co-host with Boomer Esiason. Rossi, a longtime veteran of New York City radio, continues as one of the “Jersey Guys” on “New Jersey 101.5.” "
