A judge on 5/2 ordered an investigation into the whereabouts of Casey Kasem after an attorney for the ailing radio personality’s wife said the former “Top 40″ host had been removed from the country, said Fox News.

As long as I had the date and chain of events wrong, I shall amend my position and say that the FBI should investigate the kidnapping of Mr. Casem, which certainly carries a harsher penalty than the arrogance of contempt of court. And while we're at it, the convalescent home knows something too, and they should be on the hook until they spill.

Last week, Jean Kasem removed Casey from a Santa Monica convalescent home and his whereabouts are unknown. This morning on KFI, Bill Handel reported that Jean Kasem's lawyer says Casey is "not in the United States" and he (the lawyer) does not where Casey is. Handel, who is also an attorney, said that Jean's lawyer likely told her that he does not want to know where Casey is.

One more reason why we hate lawyers.

"Keep reaching for the stars," Casey. Here is today's sad news from TMZ:

Legendary DJ Casey Kasem will live out his final days this week surrounded by his children who have made the decision to withhold medication, food and fluids. The judge in Casey's conservatorship case just reversed a ruling which required doctors to keep him alive with nourishment and meds. The 82-year-old is currently in a Washington hospice facility. Casey's kids tell TMZ their dad's health directive document states, "If the extension of my life would result in mere biological existence, devoid of cognitive function, with no reasonable hope for normal functioning, then I do not desire any form of life-sustaining procedures, including nutrition and hydration." Casey's wife Jean was in court and furious over the judge's decision, storming out and screaming that the kids will have Casey's blood on their hands.

Somebody needs to withhold TMZ's medication so that they can get it right without embellishment.
