Cashman gone from KRKO

I see Pat Cashman is no longer doing his weekly show on KRKO. Anyone know what happened?

Maybe he got sick of driving in and doing a radio show that nobody listened to.

His last show was last week. He was saying that he may do things with/for KRKO in the future, but that his weekly 2-hour show was ending. I hope when they get their big signal, they'll be able to give him a daily spot, maybe even am drive. I'd love a daily dose of Pat.

his tired schtick

40-50 years ago many of us wanted to be like Stan Freberg. Unlike Pat, most of us got over it, moved forward, changed with the times.

Ya know, I actually think Pat is a very talented guy. Is there a PD in town who could channel and direct his talent, get him to EDIT his thoughts?
Recall that back on "Almost Live" Pat's pre-produced bits were generally head and shoulders above most of the other content on that show. He was forced to fit his bits into a tight TV timeline and the forced editing gave his bits much more impact.
Since his name was taken in vain...anyone here remember that Stan Freberg was guest host at the first ever Soundies? Had to be back around 1984 or so?
