Casie Kasem here in Kitsap County...

That is called evidence, while she called attention away from herself.

Just got word through the Facebook pipeline, that he had passed away this morning... From Kerri Kasem's Facebook page...

"Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our Dad"

R.I.P. Mr. Kasem...You'll surely be missed by radio fans! 1932-2014.

To all of us who grew up in the '70s and '80s, Casey Kasem was one of our radio heroes. He was the guy who inspired us with the magic of radio. The Top 40 has lost it's panache since he's been gone from the airwaves. For me, Casey Kasem will always be the Top 40. There will never be another one like him.

A part of my childhood died this morning too. We will never forget you Casey....

RIP to Casey! A legend of radio stations nationwide in the 1970s. Millions knew who he was and always listened to his AT40 broadcasts. I hope that the reruns live on forever!

+1, my friend. You said it so eloquently. Casey, you will be missed but not forgotten...

Just in case any Casey/AT40 fans out there didn't know, I Heart Radio has a 24/7 tribute station that's been running for the past few days, alternating full-length 70s and 80s countdowns. They're featuring both weekly and year-end countdowns.

Don't know how much longer they'll keep it going but I've been listening quite a bit these past few days and finding myself even more impressed with his skills. RIP Casey!
