Casual Sunrise DX from St. Clair PA

Was watching the house for my buddy overnight and carried along the GE Superadio for some fare I hardly ever listen to -- morning radio. I listened between 7AM and 7:45.
St. Clair is eight miles south of Shenandoah and two miles north of Pottsville.

Things began on a promising note when I accidentally managed to get a *wicked* null on super-local omni WPAM 1450. I mean, they were a loud hum with music. They sounded like they do at night in my place about 20 miles outside of town and yet you can see their studio and tower on Lawton's Hill from my buddy's roof. That left 1440 and 1460 pretty much open. 1460 had a religious station, then one that came over it for several IDs -- WIFI in Mt. Holly NJ.

Am somewhat surprised (but not much) by the number of syndicated shows on morning radio. One Catholic Netowk -- EWTN or somesuch -- on 1420 mentioned 'right here in Cincinnati' and turned out to be WHK Cleveland. Syndicated sports on 1570 turned out to be WNST Towson MD.

1590 had a good Classic Soul station which I thought might be Richmond because of power-outage-in-Virginia mentions but turned out to be WFBR Glen Burnie MD. And I guess the Disney underneath WITK Pittston, // with the different signal next door on 1560, was Bloomfield CT, but no ID.

I might try this sunrise DXing more. Stations tend to ID more in morning drive. I'll set my Sloth Clock a few hours earlier.
 
Good DX!! I should try a couple hours before sunrise here and see if some MT/CT/ET 50kw daytimers will come in.

Not sure if you mean me or Mario, Travis, but,

As they say in Coal Country, 'De udderrr morning' it was a GE SR II. I partially posted this pedestrian DX in response to a more recent topic about nulling Class IV locals and IDing anything under it, and in response to someone who questioned -- mildly, not disdainfully -- why I or anyone else would want to DX on AM anymore.

And partially because I was glad to be at the dial after some time.

And partially because morning drive, with its reception tinged with all sorts of sunrise propogation and the frequent IDs, might be the best time -- a good first impression -- for a curious newcomer to here to launch a DX career.
 
What I mean by that is

I try to wake up before dawn & listen to my DX-380 Radio to see if I could catch something out of the blue

It was an related question, you mentioned on anthor post that you wanted to try to catch WCBS but I couldn't remember which one.
