Cat Country Morning show

I've recently visited Providence and heard the new Cat Country Morning show...with Matt and Chris. I was rather surprised that the gig was given to Matt...who was promoted from nights on sister-station WOKO in Vermont. He seems like a decent jock...but is he solid morning material? Someone needs to coach him on his delivery...he talks like he's got marbles in his mouth. Chris is okay...but there is no polished "leader" to take the show on higher ground, like when Tad was there. Now, it's like two side-kicks trying to steer the ship. I guess I expected more from major market station.
 
You got this one right. I don't know what they're thinking there other than change for the sake of change. I like country music to an extent but not as a format so naturally I don't follow the station as closely as others would but the problem with this Matt is that he's a jock and you don't put jocks on morning shows. Whitten has improved from rough sounding sidekick to average sidekick but he's still a sidekick and there is no main leader to steer the show. Sometimes when I listen they sound like two interns fooling around in the production room after everybody's gone home. Keeping Whitten on the morning show was a good idea since he was already there but their new PD has been around so I'm surprised they just took someone from another Hall station considering they probably got some decent applicants. Then there's the mid day change just to get a chick on the air like everybody else.
