Cat Stevens radio interview?!

I just read on radiocentral that Barry Scott from "The Lost 45s" on Oldies 103.3 has an interview with Yusuf Islam (the guy who USED to be Cat Stevens) coming up in April. Although it's a rare one (they say), wasn't he banned from the United States a few years ago?

Wasn't his "Peace Train" derailed in the "Wild World"? Didn't his Morning Get Broken? Is this a good idea?

I think he's been keeping the interview a 'mystery' on the air and on his web site...it still isn't there at http://www.lost45.com. Maybe this is why?

Kudos though for a rare interview. He does get them!

He is no longer banned from the US. In 2006 he recorded parts of "An Other Cup", his first secular album in 28 years, in the US, and he did many interviews here around it's release. The album was well played on AAA and folk/roots music stations.

Barry IS a nice guy and an historic icon of sorts. However...not all of us have a clue about "the provincetown incident"
Expand please?

I won't get into the incident here, but if you go to his website and look at the first page there is a link to the incident, with graphic pictures, just look for the link with Provinctown in the title... oh never mind here is the link.

http://mysite.verizon.net/freebarryscott/provincetown.html

I have a hard time believing that Provincetown has a police force full of homophobes.

The link leads to Barry's side of the story.....does anyone have the cop's side of the story...or are we only getting one side of the story?
