Catherine Anaya

I've always thought she's more than able, and she's really seemed ageless, for years. Alas, I think I see some recent plastic surgery. See, that sucks. I didn't notice her aging at all until she went under the knife (if she did, I guess...I've no evidence...does anybody else see what I see?).

Related note: I saw Nicole Crites on the CNN local update. Haven't seen her much, in a while. It seems to me she should get more shifts. She's got a bright personality, and she's seems to be a pretty solid newsreader.

I just watched KPHO at 6:30. Anaya looked like she had been tanning with a mask on; you could almost make out the lines on her face.

If Anaya did get plastic surgery, I don't begrudge her. Female newscasters have a short shelf life as compared with men. I assume she wants to extend her on-air career for a few years.

I'm sure Catherine wants to last as long as Jean Enersen in Seattle, who's been at KING for 42 years and still anchoring the evening newscasts.
