Joe Tait never called an NBA game before the Cavaliers hired him. He was most notable as the voice of Monmouth College, called hundreds of high school games, and served as many a "Morning Mayor" on small-town AM radio in Illinois and Indiana.

(Yes, I know he called Indiana Pacers games for a year, but they were still in the ABA.)

We'll see in late 2012... or sometime in 2013. John's got plenty of time to practice...

All due respect Nate (and you know I usually have your back), but it must be said that that was in a completely different time and universe.

The NBA world and media world of 1970 was a VASTLY different animal than the ones of 2011.
