CBC, CTV To Air Hurricane Benefit

Looking over the program listings on their websites today (September 8th), I can tell you that both CBC and CTV will carry tomorrow night's "Shelter From The Storm" benefit for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

So far, and again based on program listings on their websites, Global, CH, the City TV stations and the A-Channel stations are not planning to show it.

Of course, it is possible that at least some of those networks as well as a number of Canadian cable networks, may end up showing the program anyway.

Update: So Will A-Channel Stations

As of 1 P.M. EDT today (September 9th), the websites of A-Channel's Ontario stations indicate that they too (in addition to CBC and CTV) will carry tonight's hurricane relief benefit.

Thus far, and based on program listings on the networks' websites, neither Global , nor any of the CH stations, nor any of the City TV stations will carry the show. But things can still change in the next few hours.

Even the CBC? I thought all CBC O&Os use a uniform schedule, according to local time, instead of adjusting according to time zone (in this case, the Maritimes and NF being the exception)? For example -- CBC's prime-time starts at 8PM local time in all time zones, 8:30PM in Newfoundland. In the special's case, the exception being taht it started at 9PM AT / 9:30PM NT.

I guess they did. I wasn't available that night but in the newspapers it had CBC listed for an 8pm showing of Shelter From The Storm.<P ID="signature">______________
