CBC just had its own Heidi Game

Edmonton Eskimos at Saskatchewan Roughriders in the CFL last Saturday night (8/18). A thunderstorm interrupts the game in the 4th quarter. CBC dumps out of football for a movie. The game resumes about an hour later -- but CBC doesn't go back to the game except in Saskatchewan (and that took some arm-twisting). Naturally the s#!t hit the fan.

Ironically this was the most-watched CFL game for CBC so far this season.

Amazing. You would think that nearly 40 years after the Heidi game, TV execs would get it. Figures that the mid-level manager was a woman - a man would have never done that to a sporting event. (I kid!! I kid!!)

Senior Bonehead? Scott Moore. Let me get this straight: you're head of an important TV department and you shut off your cell phone after 11 PM? You move, and you don't give your people your new phone number? Methinks Scott Moore should be the ex-head of CBC Sports. Government competence at its finest!
