CBC Strike: Any progress?

I cannot find any information if both sides are still meeting.

It is interesting CBC2 was still airing news using alternative talent...and by Tuesday they began ditching the hourly CBC News and replacing it with a short 10 second announcement that regular CBC programming was not available.

Who is running the classical music jukebox they are now running?

Clear Channel? (just kidding.)

Seriously, this doesn't look good at all for the CBC, now that news has been discarded at Radio Two, in effect, rendering the network as a mere "jukebox".

On the same token, is Radio One still pursuing a national morning show, or has that been discarded too?

With technical and talent under one union roof, it's not surprising that the CBC is devoid of any personality (and, of course, Canadian news) during this lockout.

Yeah. I was watching Red Green on Monday and they ran an announcement apologizing for the labour disruption for about 15 seconds.<P ID="signature">______________

I have no idea whether the Union will succeed in that they would not give in to managmenet which prompted the lockout, but I look at is the last great stand broadcast employees have in order to stave off the Walmartization of broadcasting which has taken place here in the United States in Canada.
