CBC was off the air nationally?

Considering the major floods in Calgary right now -- was Calgary getting all its programming from Toronto at the time of the outage, or were they on their own with emergency-related programming?

For a Govt. owned enterprise there seems to be little public disclosure as to what's happening.

They acknowledged they had to evacuate their building in Calgary.

Beyond that, I applaud their reporters in Calgary for not making this all about themselves (which media types too often do). They reported on what the city is like and how people are being affected - not their own inconvenience. Good for them.

Now if CBC could fix their unmanned repeat transmitters in Ontario. The one in Kingston has a very faint signal, and sometimes runs promos for CBC Ottawa programs that are not broadcast in Kingston, such as Ottawa Morning. Barrie/Orillia also has a faint signal.
