Why does the CBC have such a trouble with their streaming of CBC2?
It is no secret that this technology is very touchy, but heck, doesn't anyone regularly check the status of their webcasts? When I was involved with a web station we were always monitoring the stream and someone was always nearby to hit the "reset" button if necessary. Doesn't the CBC have a manned master control with all of their signals (satellite, shortwave, web, digital cable)?
There is a 15 second piece of audio that plays and then it goes into a buffering, buffering, buffering, buffering loop.
I can see that they are a government broadcaster that their technical people obviously don't care....but aren't they trying to be one of the big boys in broadcasting???
