CBI 1140 seeks nested FM repeater at 92.1 in Sydney

The CBC has applied for a nested FM repeater in Sydney, Nova Scotia to rebroadcast CBI 1140 in Sydney. The new station will operate on 92.1 with 6,540 watts (10,650 watts maximum ERP). Antenna height will be 122.8 metres (EHAAT) with the radiation pattern being directional.

This will effectively void the approval granted several years ago for CBI 1140 to flip to 97.1. Tests were conducted on 97.1 which showed serious signal deficiencies due to the terrain of the area.
