CBS 46 Not Showing Previews for Next week for 10pm shows?

I hope I am not going crazy... but it seems that CBS 46 has randomly stopped showing the "next week" previews for thier 10pm shows prior to the start of the 11pm news cast. The shows still have the teaser at the end where the character says ...stayed tuned for scenes from next week's episode... I happened this past week for CSI Miami. I seem to recall them doing it a couple of times before for a couple of the other shows I watch @ 10 on 46.

Just a random observation.... Has anyone else noticed this by chance?

Yeah, I have. WGCL is too busy trying to hype their 11@11 concept rather than allowing their viewers to see previews for their favorite shows. That's Meredith and their ignorance that has been pedaled with their largest market station for ya... ::)

Actually, aren't they the "news and weather in the first five minutes" station? It's been random, to me, when they do this, but it does irritate me when they do. I know they're trying to get the jump on the lead-in before the viewers tune out, but doesn't this defeat the purpose more instead of add to the ratings?

You are correct about the concept. WGCL is pathetic these days and I used to root for them to make a comeback, but they are hopeless...

Didn't Meredith get in trouble a few years ago for speeding up
network shows in order to run more spots?

And now...clipping? Hmmm, the nets typically don't like that.
