CBS Atlanta hires new meteorologist

CBS Atlanta News has hired meteorologist (AMS certified) Betty Davis to work with Cris Martinez in the evenings. She previously worked at The Weather Channel.

I'm thrilled to announce the newest member of our weather team.

Meteorologist Markina Brown will be joining us Oct. 11. Markina most recently was the meteorologist at KTLA in Los Angeles. Before that she has worked in Chicago and in Cleveland.

Markina is a certified meteorologist with severe weather and big market experience. She holds an AMS and NWA seal. Markina will work the evening shift Monday through Friday.

Special thanks to Jennifer for helping us out on the late shows. Now we can get her back on BMA one of highest priority shows and get the team back together.

Also thanks to Cris who has also helped fill in some of the holes.

With Markina's addition we now have an all on-air team of meteorologists: a significant position for us in the market.

Please join me in welcoming Markina and her husband to the Atlanta market.

As Martha Stewart world say: This is a good thing.
