CBS Atlanta is a Christmas Scrooge

CBS Television Network carries the midnight mass from General Seminary in NY on Christmas Eve night. CBS Atlanta pre-empts that broadcast again this year for syndicated re-runs. Do they need the advertising dollars that bad?

If you look at CBS's O&O's they tend to be in Northern, Midwest, and or Eastern Markets* which generally has a "large" Catholic population. Channel 46 is not a CBS O&O and local affiliate's have the option to carry or not the network's programming. I can only guess that that 46 felt that they could make more $$ running syndicated re-runs, than run the service in what is stereotyped as a "non Catholic" market. CBS does own channel 69 does it ever carry "46 rejected" CBS content?

*With the exception of the California stations.
