CBS Atlanta

How come CBS Radio Atlanta didn't flip Dave-FM to oldies/classic hits? Only saying this as CBS Radio seems they want and like oldies/classic hits. As they brought back WCBS-FM in New York City, and just flipped O Rock 105.9 to Sunny 105.9 oldies/classic hits in Orlando, FL. Just my two cents.

As for the new 106.7 its kind of a good thing. Now Citadel can focus on Kicks 101.5 with country and keep on hurting The Bull 94.9

Citadel made the switch to save money, period. This is not about any love or passion for a format. They are bleeding and this was a quick fix to dump salaries.

CBS on the other hand, has a niche format that is making money. It's no 12+ ratings giant, for sure, but they have a very wealthy core of P-1's, and are actually in a good position to pick up some 99X cume without having to lift a finger.

I'd bet a dollar to a donut if CBS flipped Dave to a simulcast of K-Earth 101 or even CBS 101 from NYC it would do better (and sound better) than Dave. I think Dave sounded better back in 04 when they first flipped, the "Rock without Rules" imaging and sound was alot better than what sounds like B98.5 on crack. The Zakk Tyler morning show is vile. They could loop a toilet flushing and it would sound better than this dude. (his sidekick babe has 100x the talent than this guy could ever dream of)

I still don't understand why we are market number 8 and sound worse than Syracuse or Boise Idaho for that matter. No wonder XM and Sirius radios fly off the shelf here...
