This is the first time I’ve seen 10 PM i programming included in “late night” as I always thought 10 pm was consider part of “prime time”
That channel isn't time-shifted either, so 10 p.m is 7 p.m. Pacific Time.

Was The Jay Leno Show considered late night? It aired at 10 p.m. weeknights as one of the greatest network television blunders of all time.
You can't say "no" to that show but say "yes" to Gutfeld! ... that hour is still firmly primetime.

…and was a substantial money loser, according to CBS. That tells you something about the state of late night television.
In his speech, he said 200 people worked on the show. That should tell you something.
The Late Show feeds at 1135p ET. I think most networks do an ET feed and a PT feed. What do they do for Alaska and Hawaii? They used to air the network shows one week late from video tapes shipped from LA.
Actually, that show was considered late night back then. Bill Maher and Samantha Bee (now off the air) were also considered late night and were in the 10 p.m. hour.

Yeah, but even when Gutfeld was at 11, he still had the highest ratings.
When you use a “broad”casting medium to only potentially appeal to half of the available audience, no wonder.
You mean like Fox News? Name a TV show that gets a 50 share.
Fox News is a cable network, not a broadcaster.
How about sports? Men watch sports. It only potentially appeals to half of the potential audience.
Sorry, but there are a lot of women who also watch sports (and female sports watchers outnumber me in my family).
