Does the latest round of CBS management re-org have any DIRECT effect on the West Coast?
As an aside ... they sure seem to do a LOT of re-org's. Sometimes I get the impression CBS management teams like to think about their OWN issues more than the company ones! I've known lots of people over the years who love to stare at the org charts and figure out what the next irrelevant "chess move" is going to be!
An axiom to that concept is how Clear Channel would announce "X" is the new regional manager for "Texas", causing some of us to reflect that six months ago "Y" had been announced in the same position and is no longer mentioned in the release. Four to six month turnover and new "regional replacement" positions constantly being created; yet we don't often hear about the vet's that use to have those spots and how they are on the beach now. Guess if there is a flurry of promotions, no one realizes the deck chairs are .... well, you know.
From my distant (as in "I don't get modern radio") mindset it sure feels like there is just a LOT of scrambling for senior people JUST justifying their own jobs while finding ways to cut the jobs they can control. If it weren't so sad it would be an interesting spectator sport.
