CBS...CHR War on Tap?

I know just because a company flips a station elsewhere, doesn't mean anything will happen here but......

LA has just gotten a new CHR on 97.1 thanks to CBS flipping formats. Now the New York and Boston boards are lighting up with rumors of format flips and CHR wars. (Example, 92.3 K-Rock flipping to compete with Z100.)

My question is, does anyone see CBS flipping TIC? Might we see a Kiss/TIC CHR war again like back in the day? Let's face it, Kiss has been run into the ground and would be very vulnerable. On the other hand, would this hurt ZMX's dominance?

While listening to some of my cassettes from the 96 TIC-FM days is fun, I can't see CBS tinkering with their current Hot AC format. It'll be 15 years in June for the format flip, so something must be working for them. If anything, I think WTIC-FM should put Damon Scott in the morning once Gary Craig leaves. As for the northern part of the market, why not have Clear Channel tweak WHYN-FM 93.1 of Springfield, MA?

Connecticut doesn't need another CHR. In some parts, you can hear KC101, Kiss 95.7, 106.1 BLI, Z100, and a weak K104 all in the same place.

...but it could use a GOOD CHR :)
Yes, BLI and Z100 are good, but I'm talking more in the Hartford/New Haven area.

So it looks like 92.3 is really happening down in the city.
Nobody thinks we could see any changes here to TIC? Or, am I dreaming of yesteryear? :)

When is Gary Craig getting the boot? If CBS renews his contract they are all certifiable. This guy has over stayed his welcome by 15 years. Same boring bits. ::)
