CBS is letting go the people making the most money and that have been there the longest which means they're letting go there most competent people and keeping the less experienced and less competent.

Another great move CBS!
 
CBS downsized operations in various markets, most in the north and northeast. Staff was let go across many departments. In Houston, the air staff was not affected.
