Michael Damsky, who has been vice president and general manager of WXRT-FM since 2004, is axed as part of a national CBS staff reduction. He's a 24-year veteran of 'XRT.

Sadly, at most radio stations, 24 years is an eternity. At WXRT, you are still a rookie at just 24 years. Terri is starting year 36 and Norm, Tom, Frankie and Johnny are at about year 28-30.

More shocking is moving from 4949 W. Belmont. That's one of the things that made XRT unique. Being away from the corporate BS. I hope CBS has a big truck coz there are about 15,000 albums still there. I heard that Lin has already been to Menards buying packing tape.
