CBS dual identity in Atlanta

Yes, very weird, indeed. I bet CBS Corporate is allowing WGCL-TV and Meredith Broadcasting to use the branding, but if they wanted to force them to change the addy they could since they likely own the rights to the "CBS Atlanta" name.
 
I have never been happy with the "CBS Atlanta" moniker. In my job, it causes confusion. Staffers think they're getting a call from the CBS Television Network's Atlanta Bureau rather than a local TV station.
