CBS Eyelert

Anyone notice lastnight on the bottom of the screen during CBS primetime the CBS Eyelert. Everything was pushed back to :22 after due to football. First time I ever saw it, didn't see CBS do this last year. I think its a good idea. As people will still watch their favorite show even if it gets pushed back 22 mins.

CBS had "Eyelerts" the last few years, though these were usually e-mailed or texted to subscribers who signed up for the service.

But it doesn't mean anything if you are in a time zone where there is not going to be a delay in the program :)

I kind of appreciate it because I'm one of the 128,183 people who hasn't bought a DVR yet--and who still watches a lot of regularly scheduled TV. Granted, I just wanted to see The Amazing Race--but I tuned to CBS early to see Andy Rooney's last appearance on 60 Minutes.

The on-screen 'Eye-lert' is probably most beneficial for fans of The Good Wife or CSI: Miami; those viewers might be the most out of the loop on when their showwould actually start.

Yes, it was quite annoying on the Sacramento affiliate KOVR, which broadcasts a 6PM-10PM primetime and uses the (taped) East Coast feed instead of the (live) west coast feed. For those in the east, though, a nice enhancement.
