CBS-FM - Harry "Bud" Nelson - RIGHT NOW (sunday eve)

Catchin' the Bud-man on a visiting-fill-in tonight on CBS-FM.

Not a bad night's work for the kid from Mississippi.

Go, Bud, Go!

(yes - same Harry Nelson from WRKO, KFRC, WROR, etc.... harrynelson.net)

Oh - he's not out to steal anyone's job. They asked him to do a shift tonight. I just thought that since I'm envious enough - in a "good" way - I should make note of it here.

He pulls weekend shifts (Saturdays anyway although I wasnt listening yesterday to know if he was on) on Oldies 103.3/Boston.

Now that I think of it, Oldies 103.3 (WODS) has suffered some personnel cuts in the past few weeks including weekenders so his run back into the Boston area may have been shortlived.

I listened for about 15 minutes and am not impressed. He made a silly joke that Harry Nelson could not into New York because the tolls were so expensive and that he was Hillary Clinton. He just played the music without commenting. This is not New York quality. Listeners of this show want people like Norm N. Nite, Don K Reed and Bobby Jay who know the music and who are part of the history of WCBS-FM.

I Have to agree with Bruce. I don't feel he makes a difference one way or the other.

Norm N. Nite is a gasbag who published books about popular music that are filled with errors. Don K. Reed is better than Sominex. Bobby Jay is a first-rate DJ.

Don K Reed should have that 7-10pm show for the Heart Of R&R on sunday nights on CBSFM. Getting a little off subject here Bobby Jay should be hosting the Top 20 countdowns on CBSFM from 5-7pm like he did in the good old days of 101.1. Don't get me wrong Jeff Is good but its too late in the evening.
