CBS-FM HD-2 Is Getting Personality

As I read on the NYRMB that Ed Baer is now doing the "Top 20 Oldies Countdown" on Sunday on WCBS-FM's HD-2. I haven't listened to the "Top 20 Countdown" since Bobby Jay was there when CBS-FM was an oldies station. I hope CBS-FM's HD-2 is doing a great job for this format.

As I was saying that oldies is not coming back to New York City as we mentioned on a number of threads about "Jack's" ratings problem and things like that. I hope CBS-FM's HD-2 is the station that I haven't listened to if it's on a web stream and on HD radio. You should check that out.

Ed Baer is NOT the regular host, nor does it seem that he will become the regular host of the 101.1-2 countdown. In an e-mail I received (still from the old CBS-FM loyal listener club), it states the following regarding the Top 20 this week on WCBSFM.com:

"Sunday, June 3rd - 1967
With a special appearance by
WMCA Good Guy Ed Baer!"

It seems as if Mr. Baer's appearance is a one-time-only event.

There are still union issues to work out regarding "union" talent working at these HD2 stations. It will be interesting to see what develops in the months to come.
